Say you have a photo of a plank or Cherry wood. That's where you configure that UV map when you attach it to a material. Once you have your UVs all laid out, they can be any scale you need them. You can have Real World Scale or not have it and have lots of 'warping.' To avoid warping, you have to get good at unwrap tools and minimizing stretching, using a UVW guide map or grid or something. Warping in the Unwrap really doesn't have anything to do with Real World Scale. It might be helpful to think of this differently. ![]()
